The first album in Kegites Club was recorded/produced in the late 70s/early 80s by (late) 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼 (𝗮𝗸𝗮 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘂 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗼) of ilya Lacoed, 𝗟𝗦𝗙 𝗘𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶 and others, when ilya Lacoed was at their Surulere campus in Lagos State. It was the album that brought Palm Wine Drinkards Club to be a household name after the Ali must go era.

An ilya is a branch of the club that is situated in a higher institution with Keg of Office as its symbol of existence, and headed by a chief. An ilya is made up of kariable souls that are students of that institution, called comrads. We may sometimes have fellowsis (non-student members) in an ilya too.
A convergence is a sub-branch of the club, affiliated to an ilya in the state which it operates, and headed by a Coordinator/Kordi. It’s majorly made up of fellowis (non-students), and does not have a Keg of Office.
